Sydney Airport Parking — Book Now

About this parking guide

This site is an independent guide to parking at Sydney Airport. We do not sell spaces and we are not the airport. We explain the options so you can book the right one for your terminal, your trip length and your way of travelling.

Independent, traveller-first notes on sydney airport parking. Last reviewed October 2026.

How to use this site

Start with your terminal. Domestic T2 and T3 share a different set of car parks from International T1. Picking the right side first saves most mistakes.

Trip length matters

An hour to meet an arrival, a weekend away and a month overseas point to different products. We group parking sydney airport choices by short stay and long stay.

Self-park or valet

Some travellers want to keep their keys and walk to check-in. Others want to hand over at the kerb. Valet and self-park sit side by side so you can compare.

A plain promise

We explain airport parking before you pay, not after you arrive at the wrong terminal.

Why this guide exists

Sydney Airport parking is split by terminal and use case, which makes it easy to book the wrong product. P2, P3 and P7 sound similar until you realise they serve different terminals. This guide exists to close that gap before you pay, not after you arrive.

Domestic passengers use T2 and T3. International passengers use T1. The walk, the shuttle link and the pick-up rules change with that one fact. Many booking problems we hear about come from that single mix-up: a good product, booked for the wrong building.

We built this guide to make the terminal question unmissable. Each page names its terminal in the heading, explains who it suits, and points to the neighbouring option when you might be in the wrong place. If you take one habit from this page, let it be this: confirm T1 or T2/T3 before you compare anything else.

The mix-ups we help you avoid

  • Booking domestic parking for an international flight, or the reverse, and facing a terminal transfer with bags.

  • Choosing a short-stay bay for a week away, when a long-stay product with pre-booking would have fitted better.

  • Driving to public pick-up when you needed valet, or waiting at valet when self-park was simpler.

Coverage

What we cover

We cover self-park and valet, domestic and international, short-stay and long-stay, plus public pick-up and accessible bays. Staff and contractor parking gets its own explanation because the rules there are different.

Every page is organised around the decision a traveller actually makes: which terminal, how long, and whether to hand over the keys.

Self-park, short and long stay

Walk-to-terminal bays for quick visits and pre-booked longer stays, with notes on height limits, shuttles and walking times.

Valet and pick-up

Kerb-side handover for tight schedules, plus public pick-up areas for collecting passengers without entering a car park.

Accessible bays

Where accessible bays sit, what permit to display, and how to plan step-free routes to lifts and terminals.

Staff and contractors

Separate permits, rosters and access rules for people who work at the airport rather than fly from it.

How we keep information useful

We work from the airport's published parking information and terms, and we revisit pages when products or procedures change. Where something is subject to availability or varies by product, we say so rather than smoothing it over. We do not invent rates, review scores or traveller counts.

Start from published sources

Terminal maps, product names and booking terms come from official airport material. If a detail only lives in a forum comment, we leave it out.

Revisit when things shift

Car park layouts, shuttle stops and pre-booking windows change through the year. We update pages as those changes become clear, with the current season in mind.

Say what varies

Availability, walking times at peak hours and valet cut-off times can differ by day and product. We flag those limits directly so you check them at booking.

Rates are a good example. Prices move with demand, lead time and length of stay, so a fixed number on a guide page would mislead. For exact totals, use the booking portal for your dates. Our job is to get you to the right product page with the right questions.

What we are not

We are not the booking portal and we cannot change or cancel a reservation. We do not process payments and we do not hold your booking.

For anything tied to a specific reservation, the portal that issued it is the right place to ask. If you have a confirmation email, keep its reference ready — that team can see your dates, vehicle and payment, and we cannot.

  • We cannot move a booking between T1 and T2/T3.

  • We cannot refund, extend or reissue a pre-paid stay.

  • We can help you work out which product to ask about before you call.

Domestic commuters, overseas families and meeters-and-greeters read the same framework differently.

Who this is for

Frequent domestic flyers, families heading overseas for a month, and anyone collecting a passenger at T1. The questions differ but the framework is the same: terminal, trip length, self-park or valet.

A Sydney consultant flying to Melbourne for the day needs a short walk and a quick exit. A family leaving a car for three weeks needs pre-booked long stay and a clear shuttle plan. A friend collecting an international arrival needs public pick-up, not a car park ticket. Start there and the rest follows.

Corrections and feedback

If a detail here no longer matches what you find at the airport, tell us. Parking products change, shuttle timetables shift, and terms get updated. Our contact page has the details, and specific reports are more useful than general ones.

Helpful notes name the car park, the date you travelled and what differed — a moved shuttle stop, a changed entry lane, a new height sign. A photo-free description in plain words is enough. We read every specific report and prioritise fixes that could send someone to the wrong terminal.
